Wesley Historical Society (Yorkshire) Library

This major collection comprises of more than 13,000 printed items and some manuscripts related to Yorkshire Methodism that supplements official records deposited in the various Yorkshire local authority archives. It has a considerable number of chapel histories (but no registers) and supporting
biographies/autobiographies.

There are also general Methodist histories, Conference minutes, the Methodist Recorder newspaper and other journals and magazines. Two private deposits support this collection:

1. The Scholes Monahan collection, including the papers of Dr Percy Scholes
2. The papers of the Revd A Lesley Pacey include sermons and material on China.
