Memorial of pioneer female Methodist preachers, Sarah Crosby (1729–1804), Sarah Ryan (1724–68) and Ann Tripp (1745-1823) is re-sited by the boundary wall north-west of the church and also marked by a plaque.

All were associated with Mary Bosanquet, wife of the Revd John Fletcher of Madeley. Followed (but in 'Prim' tradition) by Ann Carr.
