Facilities
Crich has four non-conformist chapel buildings, of which the oldest is the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, which is still in use for worship and community outreach. Celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2015, Crich was opened in 1765 and visited by John Wesley in 1766 and 1770. Externally, the church is very similar to the original design, but has had internal improvements.
The balcony and original pulpit from which John Wesley preached remain. Fittings from Crich's former Primitive Methodist Chapel (1855) made by a local craftsman, Mr J Argile, as a memorial gift are now in the Wesleyan chapel.
