The church is perched on the hillside, looking out over the Dane Valley. There is no car park as such but parking on the road below the church is not a problem.
The church has toilet facilities which enable wheelchair access. Be aware that access to the church
Hugh Bourne (see Englesea Brook and Mow Cop) preached here in 1811 and, reputedly, inspired the local, rural people to collect the funds in 3 days and to build the chapel in three weeks in 1815.
Today, the chapel retains preaching plans dating back to around 1812, showing the names of Hugh and James Bourne, the Harvey family and the Deakins.
